About Violet,
The face of Lets Doula The Damn Thing
Hi!
I am Violet (She/They). I was born and raised in Humboldt County CA. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 22, over 10 years ago! I originally worked in the lighting entertainment industry but made a transition to become a doula. Lights are cool and pretty and exciting! But being a doula is fulfilling. Helping families grow and adjust to this new normal is something I am passionate about. I have taken my knowledge of lighting and theater into the labor room to help you relax and focus. I help plan nesting parties to make sure you are prepared with everything you need to start life with your little one. I provide non-judgmental and honest care during one of your families most vulnerable times. I will not judge your parenting style or choices. I will never lie to you. I am here to help providing you with any information you want or need. My mission is to empower new parents as they transition into parenthood. Making sure the supporting parent feels well equipped in the delivery room and birthing parent feels ready for birth and postpartum. When I am done providing my services my goal is to walk away with you feeling confident, relaxed, and ready to take on this new life called parenthood! Everyone deserves a doula who understands who they are, listens to what they need, and comes with an open heart and an open mind. I hope to be that doula for you!
